Mr. Harry Major founded HARRY MAJOR MACHINE in 1962. The company was turned over to Mr. H. Curtis Major in 1989 at the retirement of Mr. Harry Major. The company in August of 1996 moved from a 27,000 square foot facility to its present location in Clinton Township, Michigan. HMM is now in a 100,000 square foot facility incorporating all engineering, sales, manufacturing and assembly operations under one roof.

In December of 1996, HMM purchased "Freeman & Clark Engineering LTD" a manufacturer of Industrial Washers and Automated Systems in the United Kingdom. The following month in January of 1997, HARRY MAJOR MACHINE attained Q1 status with Ford Motor Company. Two years later in March of 1999 in the area of Quality, HMM attained certification for ISO/QS 9000/TE. In June of 1999, the name of our United Kingdom facility was changed to HARRY MAJOR MACHINE - UK. In early 2001, HMM completed an addition to the facility in Clinton Township, which increased the area of office and manufacturing space from 70,000 sq. ft. to the present day total of 100,000 sq. ft. HARRY MAJOR MACHINE - UK recently completed refurbishing a 30,000 square foot facility in Sandy Bedfordshire, England.

HARRY MAJOR MACHINE is structured to handle major automation programs as well as small single areas of automation equipment and industrial washers.
